Where is everything? Templates, colors, section names, export, sharing, account

Updated

This page is sorted by what you want to do. Desktop and phone layouts differ: on desktop the toolbar sits at the top of the editor; on a phone some tools are inside the AI button and Preview and export.

Templates, colors and fonts

  • Switch template: the Current template button below the editing area, or Ctrl + K / ⌘ + K on desktop. Switching only changes the layout and colors; your content stays.
  • Change the heading color / theme color: Typography panel → Theme color, or Custom color. Section headings follow the theme color.
  • Font, font size, line height, section spacing: all in the Typography panel. Quick spacing switches the whole resume between compact, standard and comfortable. The serif font needs Pro.
  • Remove the year tag, number, stamp or watermark from the header: Typography → turn on Hide template ornaments. The switch only appears on templates that have ornaments; if you don't see it, the current template has none.
  • Content runs past one page: Typography → Fit it onto one page tightens line height and spacing automatically.

Sections: rename, add, reorder, delete

  • Rename "Work Experience" to "Internships": click the title at the top of the section card and type the new name. Common alternatives are listed underneath; pick one, or clear the field to restore the default.
  • Add a section: the Add section button. Awards, certifications, campus experience, portfolio, languages and interests are all in there.
  • Reorder sections: drag the handle on the section card, or use Move section up / Move section down.
  • One entry inside a section: each entry has Move up, Move down, Duplicate this entry and Remove this entry.
  • Delete a whole section: click delete, then Confirm delete.

Basics: fields and labels

  • Hide a field (years of experience, location and so on): clear it. Empty fields never appear on the resume. The job-preference group can be collapsed as a whole.
  • Switch headings and field labels to another language: the Field Language dropdown in the Basics card. It changes labels like "Work Experience" and "Education" only, not your content; use Translate for content.

AI tools

  • Rewrite one description: the AI Rewrite button on the toolbar of each description field.
  • Summary: Write it with AI next to the Summary field in the Basics card.
  • Translate, JD Match, Check, Interview: on desktop they are the second toolbar row (Translate, JD Match, Check, Interview). On a phone tap AI; the menu lists Translate resume, JD Match, Health Check and Mock Interview.
  • Keep a copy before translating: the translation window has a Back up button. It duplicates the resume to your dashboard first, so the original survives the translation.
  • Free tool pages (no account needed): the resume check at /check, the cover letter generator at /cover-letter and the JD Match overview at /jd-match, all linked from the home page navigation and footer.

Undo, shortcuts, saving

  • Undo / Redo: the toolbar buttons, or Ctrl + Z / Ctrl + Shift + Z. Phones only have Undo.
  • Shortcut list: desktop More (···) → Shortcuts, or press Ctrl + /.
  • Saving: automatic while you're signed in; the status shows at the top of the editor. Ctrl + S saves immediately.

Export and share

  • Export PDF: desktop Export PDF at the top, or Ctrl + E; on a phone Preview and export → Export PDF.
  • Export Word: the Word button on the desktop toolbar. There is no Word button on phones; use a computer.
  • Find a file you already exported: desktop More (···) → Export history; on a phone it's in the AI menu. PDFs from the last 7 days can be downloaded again.
  • Create a share link: desktop Share; on a phone Shareable link in the AI menu. Pick how long the link lasts and click Generate link; it's copied automatically. Free accounts can pick 7 days, Pro up to a year.
  • Manage links you've created: My shares above the resume list on the dashboard shows views, and lets you copy or delete each link.

Dashboard

  • New or imported resume: New resume → write it with AI, start from a template, start from blank, upload a PDF, or paste resume text. Word files can't be uploaded directly yet: save the Word file as PDF first, or copy the text and paste it.
  • Rename, duplicate or delete a resume: the ··· on the resume card. Use Select to handle several at once.
  • Deleted by mistake: deleted resumes go to Trash and can be restored for 30 days with Restore; there's also an Undo prompt right after deleting.
  • Credits: the credits card at the top of the dashboard; Details, or My credits in the account menu, lists every change.
  • Application tracker, mock interview, cover letter: the tool cards on the dashboard.
  • What's new: the changelog link at the top of the dashboard shows a red dot when there's something new.

Account and membership

The account menu is in the top-right corner of the dashboard and the editor: My credits, Change password, Link an email (only if the account has none), Invite friends for rewards, Help Center, Support (shown in gold for Pro accounts), Upgrade to Pro, Sign out.

  • Change password: dashboard account menu → Change password (or Set password if you signed up with Google or an email code).
  • Invite friends: account menu → Invite friends for rewards; your personal link is inside.
  • Buy, renew or cancel Pro: account menu → Upgrade to Pro / Renew Pro, or the pricing page at /pricing. Pro subscribers manage or cancel the subscription from the dashboard ··· → Manage subscription.
  • Find your order: the receipt email from our payment provider, or the Manage subscription portal.
  • Delete your account: there is no self-service button yet. Email [email protected] from your account email and we'll delete everything manually.
  • Dark mode: the theme icon in the top-right corner cycles light, dark and system.
  • Support: "Support" in the account menu, the card at the top of the Help Center (/help), the bottom of every help article, or the upgrade dialog. Sign-in required, no AI credits used; common questions are answered instantly, and refunds or account deletion go to a human via the headset icon at the top right ("Talk to a human"; Pro handled first). Bug reports and suggestions live there too.
