How mock interviews work and what they cost

A mock interview puts an AI interviewer in front of you: it reads your resume, asks questions for your target job, follows up on your answers, and scores you at the end.

Where to find it

• The AI Mock Interview tool card on the dashboard, or go straight to /interview/new; the overview is at /interview/intro.
• In the editor: Interview on the second toolbar row (desktop), or AI → Mock Interview on a phone.
• Past sessions: /interview/history (View interview history) keeps the full transcript and report of every session.

Starting a session

1. Pick a resume (optional; leave it empty for generic questions);
2. Enter the target job (required, e.g. "Stripe – Senior Frontend Engineer"); paste the job description too if you want the questions to fit it;
3. Choose a level: Junior, Mid or Senior;
4. Choose the depth: Quick (5 main questions), Standard (7) or Deep (9). The interviewer asks adaptive follow-ups, and follow-ups never cost extra;
5. Press Start interview.

When you finish, the report is generated automatically: an overall score, a four-axis radar (technical depth, clarity of reasoning, experience fit, STAR completeness), strengths, areas to improve, and a model answer for every question. If the report fails to generate, press Retry.

Sessions and credits

• Mock interviews have their own session balance and do not use AI credits. Each session you start uses one session; quitting partway does not refund it; if a system error stops the session, it is compensated automatically.
• Sessions come with Pro: 3 with the 7-Day Pass, 10 with Pro Monthly, 36 with the 90-Day Job-Hunt Pass, 120 with Pro Annual. Unused sessions expire when the plan ends.
• The free plan has no sessions. Your remaining sessions are on the credits card on the dashboard and under My credits in the account menu.

FAQ

Are the questions from a question bank?

No. They are generated from your resume and the target job, so they ask about the projects you actually listed; a new graduate and a five-year engineer applying for the same title get different questions.

I quit halfway. Is the session gone?

Yes, a session is used when it starts. If a system error stopped it, the session is refunded automatically; if that didn't happen, use Support → Talk to a human.
