Export succeeded but the file is nowhere on your phone?

If exporting shows a success message but you can't find the PDF anywhere on your phone, you most likely opened the site inside another app's built-in browser — for example from a link in Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, LinkedIn, TikTok or WeChat. These in-app pages block webpages from saving files to your phone: your resume was generated correctly, only the final "save to device" step was stopped by the app.

Three ways to get your file

Option 1: copy the download link and open it in your browser (fastest)

When you tap "Export PDF" inside an in-app page, a sheet titled "PDF ready — save it in your browser" appears with a download link:

Tap "Copy link";
Open your phone's real browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.);
Paste the link into the address bar — the PDF downloads immediately.

The link stays valid for 24 hours. After that, just export again to get a fresh one.

Option 2: open the site in your real browser

Most in-app browsers have a menu (usually "···" or a share icon) with an "Open in browser" option. Sign in there and export — the file will land in your phone's Downloads as normal.

Option 3: re-download from Export history

Every successful export is kept in Export history for 7 days and can be re-downloaded any time:

Phone: open your resume → "Preview & Export" at the bottom → the file icon in the header;
Desktop: editor toolbar "···" → "Export history".

FAQ

Does re-exporting use up extra export credits?

Re-downloading the same file from Export history is free. Generating a brand-new export counts as one export; Pro members have unlimited exports either way.

How long are files kept?

Each exported file is stored for 7 days and can be re-downloaded from Export history during that time. After 7 days, export again to regenerate it.

Why doesn't this happen on desktop?

Desktop browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari…) don't restrict downloads — files go straight to your Downloads folder. On phones, only in-app browsers block saving; your phone's regular browser works fine.
