Free cover letter generator: how it works

The cover letter generator is at /cover-letter (Cover letter in the top navigation of the home page, and the Cover Letter Generator card on the dashboard). It is free and needs no account.

How to use it

1. Paste the job description (add the company and role if the posting doesn't say);
2. Add your resume: paste the text or upload a PDF. The letter quotes your strongest, ideally quantified achievements; skip this step and you get an honest template with placeholders instead;
3. Generate, then review: fill any placeholders, check every fact, adjust the tone so it sounds like you. Copy the text, or download it as a Word file.

Letters run 250-380 words and are built only from what you provided; nothing is invented.

Limits

• 5 cover letters per day without an account, plus a separate daily cap on Word downloads. Both are counted per network connection, so a shared office or campus connection shares the allowance; they reset the next day.

FAQ

Should I edit the letter before sending?

Yes, always. It is an AI-generated first draft and you are responsible for the final content: fill the placeholders, check every fact, and make it sound like you.

Does it use my AI credits?

No. The generator is separate from your account; it has its own daily limit instead.
