Lead with your billing volume and accuracy (invoices/claims processed, accuracy rate, denials reduced), show your follow-up, reconciliation, and compliance skills, and name your systems. For medical billing, highlight coding and payer knowledge. Accuracy and revenue impact are what employers screen for.
Use billing numbers: invoices/claims per month, accuracy or clean-bill rate, denial/rejection reduction, collections improvement, and aging reduction. "Processed 800+ claims/month at 99% accuracy" and "improved clean-bill rate" prove billing impact.
Billing and invoicing (and, for healthcare, claims and coding accuracy), collections follow-up and appeals, reconciliation, error/denial reduction, billing/ERP systems (and EHR/clearinghouse for medical), and compliance. Name the specific systems, since postings and ATS screen for them.
Billing focuses on generating accurate invoices/claims and resolving billing issues; accounts receivable focuses on collecting and applying payments and managing DSO. They overlap and often work together — lead with billing accuracy and claims for a billing role, and collections and DSO for an AR role.
